Maine's Tracy Guerrette finished the California International Marathon in Sacramento Sunday in a time of 2-hours 48-minutes 40-seconds (2:48:40), not quite fast enough to get her in the Olympic Trials.

The time she needs to get to for the trials is 2:45:00.

Her time at the California race was 73rd fastest among women in the race and 352nd overall.

Guerrette, from St. Agatha and now living in Bangor, thought she had qualified for the trials when she ran a personal best 2:43:47 at the Maine Marathon back in August. Turns out that race is a Boston Marathon qualifier but not an Olympic Trials qualifier.

Guerrette still has plenty of time to meet the the standards for the trials leading up to the 2020 Games in Tokyo, Japan.
