Maine's Tracy Guerrette continues to improve her marathon running times. At the Philadelphia Marathon over the weekend, she finished 21st in the women's division with a time of 2::58:35.

That time was second fastest in her age group (35-39), 21st among all women and 224th overall. That is 224th out of more than 9,000 runners.

Taylor Ward from Alabama was the women' winner in Philly with a time of 2:36:26.

Earlier in the fall, Gurerrette won the Bangor Labor Day Roadrace and then won the inaugural Caribou Marathon.

Guerrette is hoping to improve times to eventually try for olympic qualifying.

She is a former standout basketball player at Wisdom HS in St. Agatha and for the UMaine Black Bears.
