The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has posted a Winter Storm Warning from Houlton southward with 5 to 9 inches of snow by early Tuesday morning.  Snowfall totals are expected to be less in northern areas, but could still range from 3 to 6 inches.

Forecasters say the majority of the snow will fall Monday night.  It will be accompanied by strong northeast winds, leading to blowing snow.

The Down East region will again get the heaviest snowfall with 10 to 14 inches across the area and locally higher amounts near the coast, according to the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile, Environment Canada has issued a blizzard warning for most of New Brunswick, with the exception of northwestern New Brunswick, including the Grand Falls, Edmundston, and Campbellton areas.

Up to 15 inches of snow is forecast to hit the southern and southeastern parts of the province. Woodstock could end up with a little more than 8 inches by 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to Environment Canada predictions.
