Gorillaz just unearthed a new video for a tune called "Sleeping Powder," that's actually not on the Humanz album they released a couple of months ago.

The clip shows frontman 2D playing the song on the piano, then embarking on a journey that takes him under water, to a bullfight, then to a field where trees walk near the foot of mountains. But it's hard to tell if 2D is imagining all of those places while playing the piano, or if he's actually traveling.

From the way it appears, "Sleeping Powder" is one of the 40 songs that Gorillaz co-creator/songwriter Damon Albarn said he recorded for the Humanz's album that didn't make the cut.

"I'm just sort of slowly going through all tunes that sort of didn't work out and finishing them," he told Pitchfork. "I can stay in the game for at least another 18 months, I reckon."

Meanwhile, Gorillaz are about to be ultra busy, getting ready for the Demon Dayz Festival, which is on Saturday (June 10) and also heading out on a North American tour with De La Soul, Danny Brown, D.R.A.M., and others. The group is also developing their own animated TV series.

Hopefully, we'll get to hear more of the unreleased songs form Humanz but if not, at least we have "Sleeping Powder," right? You can peep the new video above.
