The price of gasoline has stayed pretty much the same around New England.

According to the daily survey taken by GasBuddy.com, gas outlets in the Pine Tree State remained at last week's average price of $2.65 a gallon. Prices in Presque Isle Monday morning checked in at $2.88 a gallon.

Elsewhere around New England, New Hampshire saw a decrease of just under a penny to $2.56 a gallon, while pump prices in Vermont rose 1.6 cents to an average $2.66 a gallon.

The national average price of gas fell just a little bit to $2.65 a gallon over the past week. That's 12 cents higher than at this time last month and 25.9 cents a gallon higher than a year ago.
