Public Meeting Scheduled for Proposed New Elementary School in Caribou

Plans for a new state-of-the-art school for Caribou elementary students are moving forward. 

The citizens of Caribou, Limestone and Stockholm are invited to attend an informational meeting in November and vote on the design of the new elementary school proposed for Caribou.

Regional School Unit 39 was chosen as a recipient for a state-funded school to replace the existing outdated schools in Caribou that are in disrepair. The new school would be built in the Teague Park area and accommodate students from Pre-K to grade 8 who currently attend Hilltop, Teague Park and Caribou Middle School.

The informational meeting will be held Thursday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. A straw poll will follow at 7:00 to accept or reject the concept design developed by PDT Architects.
