Fredericton Man Charged With Multiple Drug Trafficking Offences
A 19-year-old Fredericton man has been charged with multiple drug trafficking offences following a multi-agency drug investigation.
Police arrested Nicholas Bain on Thursday, February 26. At the time of the arrest, police seized a large quantity of drugs including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, crystal meth, methylone and LSD.
A weapon was also seized, according to Cpl. Matt Scott of RCMP Federal Operations West.
Bain appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court last Friday and was charged with seven counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.
He was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest, obstruction and breach of a probation order.
Bain remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 13.
The investigation is being conducted by RCMP Federal Operations West and East units, in collaboration with the Capital Region Intelligence Unit and the Fredericton Police Force.
