At approximately 11:20 Thursday morning, police officers responded to a head-on crash on Wallace Cove Road between a blue Dodge Caravan and a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

RCMP say the driver of the Caravan had to be extracted from his vehicle, and was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The three occupants of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries, police say.

The investigation is ongoing, and alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor.

Police are also investigating a report that the Dodge Caravan may have been involved in a minor collision at a nearby gas station on Wallace Cove Road a short time earlier.

Anyone who may have witnessed either collision is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at (506) 755-1130.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP212 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637), or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
