Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush celebrated his 90th birthday Thursday by skydiving in southern Maine one last time.
Bush announced via Twitter on Thursday morning that he intends to make a tandem parachute jump near his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The 41st president also marked his 80th and 85th birthdays by skydiving. Five years ago he vowed to do it once more on his 90th birthday.
A spokesperson for the former president says was his eighth parachute jump — starting with the one he made after the Japanese shot down his fighter plane over the Pacific during World War II on Sept. 2, 1944.
