KMH Music, TACO BELL and Smitten Productions present Maine based duo “Between Dead Stations”. This modern Progressive Psychedelic Blues duo features the songwriting of Jake Irish, whose gritty vocals and searing guitar add to the popping back beat of Mike E. Styx on drums. They have brought their soulful, fresh energetic music to audiences across the country. This show is “bring your own chair”. While it is a free event, a ticket is needed and tipping the artists is recommended. Only 40 tickets will be available through eventbrite.com. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Star City Coffee presents artist Ryan Scully who specializes in offbeat original illustrations. He will be displaying his paintings, illustrations as well as T-shirts. You will also be able to enjoy the harmonizing of musical duo Hoss & Lurleen.

Join Rathbun Lumber as they promote the Healthy Main St. initiative by offering a sampling of nutritious and tasty treats for summer, with additional inspiration provided by Pampered Chef. This event will take place in the kitchen showroom from 4-7 p.m.

Morning Star Art & Framing’s featured artist for May is Frank Sullivan. Frank is originally from Massachusetts and with his family now resides in Northern Maine. His work uses the landscape and man’s footprint thereon as a starting point to explore expressionistic possibilities of color, oil, paint and pastels. His work can also be viewed on line at Rainbarrowstudio.blobspot.com. Peter Parker and gang will provide live music. Light refreshments will be served. Extended hours for the artwalk will be from 6p.m. to 9p.m.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Fine Art Gallery has recently received 800 pieces of art by renowned artist Bernard Langlais from the Kohler Foundation. The Collection includes sketches, sketchbooks, studies, models, archives and more than 30 wooden sculptures and wall pieces. The exhibit titled Bernard Langlais: The Man Behind the Owls opens for the ArtWalk at 5:00 p.m. with a Gallery Talk by Heather Sincavage at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, Check out the Facebook page. Wintergreen is pleased to announce that they will be joining UMPI for the Third Annual 12X12 Art Auction. 50 artists from Aroostook County, Canada, and around the country will be featured. The auction benefits arts programming in the downtown area and will be held from 6-9 p.m. Artists fill the 12X12 canvas any way they choose and the works will be on display in the Barresi Financial gallery at WGAC starting April 27. Each canvas holds a reserve bid of $65.00 and bidding will end promptly at 8:30 p.m. The change this year is the “Buy It Now” option based on the market value set by the artist. Bidders will be able to purchase the canvas outright by paying market value. Light refreshments will be served.
