Final “Take a Seat” Event to be Held in Florenceville-Bristol

A popular fundraiser for the Andrew & Laura McCain Art Gallery, the Take a Seat ‘Chair-ty’ Auction takes place Friday, February 12^th from 7-9PM at the gallery.

The gallery is located downstairs at 8 McCain St, Florenceville-Bristol. Hosted in conjunction with the town’s annual Snow Blast Festival, this years’ event features a coffee house sponsored by Fancy Coffee Services. Along with specialty coffees, gourmet cheesecakes (and not to mention the art!), the evening will be highlighted with a musical student showcase and performance by Woodstock-based pianist, JP Nadeau.

With a $10 admission, doors open to the public at 7PM with refreshments, music and viewing of the silent auction items. Anyone interested in donating a chair can contact the gallery for more information. The deadline for auction contributions is February 9^th.

This will be the final Take a Seat event at the gallery. There is no online bidding leading up to auction night as in previous years, so if you’ve followed the event in the past and haven’t had the chance to take part or attend, the last ‘leg’ of the ‘Chair-ity’ auction is not to be missed.”

Take a Seat is guaranteed to be a warm and wonderful event. Hosted on Friday, February 12^th, it’s a great way to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend.
