As people go to the movies or watch their favorite television show, both past, and present, you just never know who was born in the Pine Tree State.

Believe it or not, there were quite a few famous people who were born in Maine.

Linda Lavin who played Alice on the sitcom 'Alice' was born in Portland, ME.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow - American Fireside Poet was born in Portland, ME

Patrick Demsey - He played Ronald Miller in the 80's movie "Can't Buy Me Love"  and was born in Lewiston, ME. 

Anna Kendrick who played Jessica Stanley in "The Twilight Saga" was born in Portland, ME. 

Best-Selling Horror Author Stephen King was born in Portland, ME.

Judd Nelson - One of the "Brat Pack" from the 80's was born in Portland, ME.

John O'Hurley who played J. Peterman on "Seinfeld" and also hosted "The Family Feud" was born in Kittery, ME. 

Juliana Hatfield who was part of indie bands like Some Girls and Blake Babies was born in Wiscasset, ME.

Scott Brown who was U.S. Senator in Massachusetts from 2010 - 2013 and was a model back in the 80's was born in Kittery, ME.

It's pretty cool to know that there are some people who left the Pine Tree State to become famous. I wonder if they'll ever come back if they haven't already.
