Experience 19th Century Maine at Willowbrook Village Before It’s Too Late

Willowbrook Village located in Newfield, Maine has welcomed visitors to experience life as it was in the 19th century in Maine for the last 47 seasons. The old village and community boasts two historic homes, barns, a reproduction school house and bandstand, a pond, an antique carousel, and more that are meticulously maintained to transport you back to a simpler time.

Due to "financial considerations", Willowbrook Village will close out it's 47th season as the final season. The last day of opening will be October 10th.

The exhibits and other items at the village will be relocated to a number of non-profit museums across Maine. However, if you'd like to view Willowbrook Village before the barn doors close for a final time, you should make the trip to Newfield.

Very authentic period houses, shops and workshops. Lots of machinery, transport items including the beautiful coach. The carousel is a lot of fun for everybody and we had a great time talking to the curator.

Willowbrook Village and the Newfield Historical Society present many educational seminars on life in the 1900's and have hands-on sessions in a number of areas such as wood working, metal working, working kitchens of the period and cooking, and a turn-of-the-century machinist shop and many traditional arts workshops.
