Evidence of Meth Labs Found in Oxford County
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) found evidence of two methamphetamine labs in Oxford County Friday following a series of police raids.
According to the MDEA, drugs agents, along with State Police and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, served search warrants at five houses in Oxford, Greenwood, Albany, Mason Township and Gilead this morning. In addition, they plan to search a pickup truck found in a parking lot near the Flagship Cinema, along Route 26 in Oxford.
MDEA found evidence of meth labs in the pickup truck, and the house in Gilead. Five people are being detained and questioned. At this point – no one has been arrested.
MDEA’s meth lab team will conduct the searches throughout the day. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the federal DEA are also on scene.
