Additional Information

Hope & Justice Project is the domestic violence resource center for Aroostook County and October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As a part of the month, Hope & Justice Project has planned an event called Walk It Up, Presque Isle! that will take place on October 17th. Walk It Up, Presque Isle! is a light, lunch-time walk to end domestic abuse. It will start and end at the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle. Participants who pre-register online will be given a free purple t-shirt and free lunch. At 11:00AM, participants can pre-register in person and pick up their t-shirts and lunch tickets. At this time, children can participate in a reading and craft activity led by Hope & Justice Project educators. At 12:00PM, we will walk a short loop around downtown Presque Isle to spread the message that our community will not tolerate domestic violence. When we return to the library, we will have door-prize giveaways and lunch!
