Erykah Badu wants the world to know she's not dating Kendrick Lamar.

In a series of tweets she fired off Monday morning (July 4), Badu explains that she is not dating K. Dot, and that their interactions have, in fact, been quite limited.

Badu discussed their meeting at the 2013 BET Awards. She writes, "Kendrick ain't called me since y'all made up some shit about us being in the trailer makin out so he missed his award."

The 45-year-old singer-songwriter says Lamar kept things professional. Badu tweets, "Sound check, performance, photo opps, ghost. He was super shy."

Badu quickly shuts down the rumors when a fan brings up Lamar's line from "No More Parties in LA," which goes, "Well cutie, I love your bougie booty/Come Erykah Badu me/Hell, let's make a movie."

The Dallas, Texas native responded, "Let me educate u real fast lil mama. It's not always betwixxx the thighs ... Sometimes it's between the ears."

In other news, Kendrick Lamar put on a July 4 performance alongside Janelle Monae at the White House for Malia Obama's 18th birthday. President Obama addressed the crowd, saying, "These two, I’ve gotten a chance to know, and they are both amazing artists and talented and popular and doing great things, but they’re also very conscious about their responsibilities and obligations ... And they put in a lot of time and effort on behalf of a lot of causes that are important."
