In honoring that principle and in order to say ‘Thank you for your service’, the Presque Isle Elks will once again host a free Saturday night supper for all military Veterans, current military service personnel, and their spouses on Saturday, November 11, at 5:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 508 Main Street in Presque Isle,” Marion Donahue, Exalted Ruler of the Presque Isle Elks announced.

The menu for this event will include chicken stew, ployes, beef stew, home-made baked beans, hot rolls, corn chowder, corn muffins, seafood chowder, chili, fresh biscuits, homemade macaroni, grilled steaks, American chop suey, a variety of desserts, coffee, tea and soft drinks.  Members of the Presque Isle Elks will be holding this event from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11.

While there is no charge for any military Veteran, serviceman or their spouses, there will be a nominal charge of $5 per person for anyone without military service who wishes to join in expressing their gratitude to the Veterans in attendance.

Veterans and guests will be able to enjoy live musical entertainment throughout the evening.  There will be door prizes for all Veterans and current military service personnel.

According to Elks Exalted Ruler Donahue, “The Presque Isle Elks endeavor to express their gratitude to our military Veterans in a number of ways in addition to hosting the free Saturday night supper. This includes a free furniture bank for previously homeless Veterans who have been assisted in finding a home.”

Transportation to the Elks Lodge for this event can be arranged by calling the Presque Isle Lodge at 764-0985.
