The investigation into the Duke women's basketball program is over and athletic director Kevin White says Joanne P. McCallie will remain head coach.

The school's human resources department reviewed the program after two players left the program after the season and another player transferred midway through the season. There were some claims McCallie may have mistreated players and coaches.

The review of the program was not made public.

White said in a release, "I have discussed the results at length with coach McCallie and we are indeed in a position to improve Duke women's basketball for present and future student-athletes, coaches and staff alike."

Duke finished 20-12 last season and missed the NCAA tourney for the first time in 22 years.

McCallie began her head coaching career as UMaine basketball coach.
