The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says that a Gouldsboro couple has been arrested and charged with importing and selling heroin in Hancock County.

As part of an ongoing drug enforcement effort throughout Hancock County, MDEA agents with the Downeast Drug Task Force, based in Ellsworth, conducted an investigation into the distribution of heroin in the Schoodic Peninsula region, including the towns of Gouldsboro and Winter Harbor by Thibault and Albee.

The two arrested are:

Chad Thibault, 46, of Gouldsboro for Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin)

Roxie Albee, 40, of Gouldsboro for Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Heroin)

The investigation includes undercover purchases of heroin from the two.

According to the report, Monday evening, about 7 pm, agents searched the couple's single-family home at 494 Main Street in Gouldsboro.

Law enforcement seized approximately 45 grams of heroin and $4,538 in alleged drug proceeds.

The street value of the heroin is $13,500.

Thibault and Albee were present at the residence and were arrested without incident.

The Department of Health and Human Services has been notified as an 11-year-old child was present in the residence during the time of the investigation, search and arrest.
