It’s official! Drake is working on a new album. The rap superstar made the announcement during a break at the Toronto Raptors game against the Houston Rockets on Friday night (March 9) in Toronto.

“I’m happy to be home. I’m working on a new album for my city,” he told the cheering crowd.

He also mentioned that the Rockets' 17-game winning streak will come to an end, which, in fact did. The Raptors beat the Rockets 108-105. Talk about a close game.

Speaking of winning streaks, Drizzy has been winning since the start of the new year. In January, Drake broke Apple Music’s global streaming record with 14 million streams of “God’s Plans” on its first day of release (Jan. 19).

In February, Drake’s good deed video “God’s Plan" helped boost the song to 101.7 million U.S. streams, according to Billboard.

There's no word on when Drake will release his opus to Toronto, but this is good news for Drizzy fans. His last project (or playlist), More Life, topped both Apple Music and Pandora's streaming albums lists for 2017.
