What started out as a throwaway joke on a final-season episode of the NBC comedy "Parks and Recreation" could end up being a mind-blowing prediction, as one character casually mentions the Cubs winning the World Series.

In the 2015 episode Andy (Chris Pratt) and Tom (Aziz Ansari) visit Chicago in the summer of 2017 and as they walk around Chicago, their friend Lucy casually mentions the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series. Here's the evidence:

Michael Schur, who co-created the show and wrote the episode, which aired in 2015, when the Cubs were coming off a horrible season, confirmed that the reference was to a 2016 Cubs championship.

And Schur should know all about teams breaking World Series curses, he's a Red Sox fan!

But Parks and Recreation isn't the only evidence of a Cubs' championship prediction. We had a pretty famous one just over 30 years ago. And while the Back to the Future 2 reference was set in 2015, it's close enough...(and it also correctly predicted a baseball team in Miami way before the Marlins were even thought of).
