Dannii Minogue to Return to UK Television With ‘Let It Shine’
You won't forget about Dannii.
Why? Because the Neon Nights goddess herself is preparing to grace UK telly screens for the first time in over six years since her final stint as a mentor on the seventh series of The X Factor UK in 2010.
Dannii Minogue is the first judge confirmed for Take That star Gary Barlow's upcoming BBC talent show, Let It Shine.
The show, according to The Sun, is a talent competition created in order to find "five wannabe West End stars" of a new nationwide Take That musical, called The Band. Graham Norton and The Great British Bake Off's Mel Giedroyc are tapped to host the competition.
“I’m so excited to be returning to the UK and joining the judging panel of Let It Shine. To be a performer, you must have a burning desire to perform, then you train at all the skills you need to shine. This show gives everyone that chance. I can’t wait!” says Dannii.
Let It Shine starts filming next week. Can't sleep at night? That's good: the show will air on Saturday nights for eight weeks in 2017 on BBC1.
Here's hoping new music follows this announcement. (One "Summer Of Love" isn't nearly enough.)
Now, let the incredible reaction GIFs commence.
And, because the term "talent show" is triggering, let us now revisit a classic moment from the Minogue vaults. "Don't you need...talent to be one of the judges?"
And, speaking of Young Talent...
