Allen Richardson appeared in court this week in Machias and is expected to be sentenced later this month.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said they found evidence of meth lab in the house belonging to 30-year-old Tabbatha Osnoe on Weatherbee Street in Danforth. The house caught fire in March a short time after the couple's 5-month-old son died under suspicious circumstances.

Court papers show Richardson admitted he had been making meth for  about 6 or 7 months, saying he had cooked meth more than a thousand times.  Osnoe told agents she had purchased ingredients to give to Richardson to make the dangerous drug.

Osnoe pleaded guilty in September and was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison.

Both Richardson and Osnoe were being held at the Washington County Jail.
