ESPN's NASCAR analyst and Maine native Ricky Craven has been selected to join the New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame when induction ceremonies are held in November.

Since 1998, NEAR has inducted over 200 New Englanders who have made a difference in motor sports in the region. Eight racers will be honored at a banquet November 13th in South Windsor, Connecticut.

Craven cut his racing teeth at Unity Raceway here in Maine and competed in the Busch North Series before heading south. He won Rookie of the Year as a Busch Grand National Series(now Xfinity Series) racer and Winston Cup(now Sprint Cup) racer.

Craven is one of only a handful of racers to win a race in NASCAR's top three divisions.

Craven is ESPN's main analyst on the NASCAR scene.
