Two weeks ago, Coolio was charged with possession of a concealed weapon after trying to sneak a gun through LAX. Yesterday (Oct. 25), the "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper pled guilty.

According to TMZ, Coolio was in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, where a judge gave him three years probation and 45 days of community service. The judge also told Coolio that if he picks up other gun offenses while he's on probation, then the charge can get enhanced to possession of a firearm by a felon, which is potentially a state prison case. The case is a "wobbler," meaning it can be deemed either a felony or a misdemeanor. The judge said, "The situation is, if you stay out of trouble, then this case can be reduced to a misdemeanor, 'cuz it's a wobbler, and at the end of your probationary period, your attorney can come to court and ask for it to be taken off your record, which is called an expungement, so your record can be clean."

You can view the original arrest in the above video, courtesy of TMZ. TSA took Coolio off an airplane after finding the gun in his bookbag. According to the original report, one of Coolio's crew members tried to take the fall, but it was obvious to the cops that the gun was Coolio's.

Unfortunately, Coolio joined a long list of rappers who have been arrested at airports for gun possession. Family members of rappers are even getting caught doing it. Back in June, T.I.’s daughter was taken into custody after trying to get a gun through security. After the events of Sept. 11, 2001, it's pretty shocking that people still try to get guns past airport security.
