An 18-year-old man has been charged after State Police investigated a report of an underage drinking party just north of Caribou.

At around 9:30 Saturday night, Troop F of the Maine State Police received an anonymous complaint of an underage drinking party in Connor Township. Trooper Ryan Kilcollins located the party behind a residence on the Cote Road.

Police say there were approximately 15 to 20 underage people at the party. It was determined that the host of the party was 18-year-old Cameron Perley, according to a news release from Sgt. Jeffrey Clark.

Trooper Kilcollins conducted breath tests on the underaged people using his portable breathalyzer and confirmed that 6 of them had been consuming alcohol. Perley was charged with providing a place for minors to consume alcohol. He is scheduled to appear in Caribou district Court on August 10.

Trooper Kilcollins was assisted at the scene by a U.S. Border Patrol Agent.
