Class A Semi: Rams vs Witches On 92.9 The Ticket

Fresh off quarterinal round wins on Thursday, the Bangor Rams and Brewer Witches meet for a Saturday semi-final game at Mansfield Stadium today at 2pm.

(16-1) Bangor defeated Hampden 8-2 in its first round playoff game. (11-6) Brewer knocked off Lawrence 6-3. Both teams used their ace pitchers, Trevor DeLaite and Matt Pushard.

Head to head this season the Rams beat the Witches twice. Early in the schedule, it was a 7-3 Bangor win. The Rams scored four times in the first inning and then it settled into a good ballgame.

The second meeting was the regular season finale on Memorial Day. The Witches outhit the Rams 6-5 but were shutout be Trevor DeLaite 4-0. Matt Pushard struck out 10 Bangor batters in the losing effort.

NOTE: The winner of the Bangor/Brewer game meets the winner of Edward Little vs Mt. Ararat for the North Region title Tuesday at 5pm in Augusta.
