The City of Presque Isle has launched a brand new website after many months of design and development.  The new site takes into account suggestions and requests from citizens, and promises to be much easier to navigate.

Visitors to the site will be able to easily locate events, updates and services in a more visually appealing environment.   Presque Isle city officials have been working with Townsquare Interactive to create the new virtual home for the municipal government. Links to various departments and services have been rearranged to be easier to locate, and the site is optimized for mobile devices.

In addition, the links generated from individual pages within the website are shorter and easier to share on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

The new city website seeks to promote government transparency by providing area residents with easy access to a greater volume of information.

Library Director Sonja Plummer-Morgan stated, “Our city is committed to improving quality of life for our citizens and developing government practices that are citizen-focused. Our effort on the new website significantly improves online services, the accessibility of important and relevant information, and increases communication avenues between citizens and government.”

The new Presque Isle city website is now fully functional.  Check it out at presqueislemaine.gov and add it to your bookmarks.

You are invited to share your thoughts about the new website and your browsing experience.
