Have allegations leveled against Chris Brown done damage to his public reputation? In footage provided to ABC News, the singer says, "my character's been defaced and who I am as a person," with allegations of assault with a deadly weapon hanging over him after a late August arrest was made following an hours-long stand-off with police.

The singer has been accused of pointing a gun at Baylee Curran, an aspiring actress and model who was inspecting a piece of jewelry while at Brown's California home. "I’m glad that all my real supporters know me and they know the truth and they’ll see the truth," he says in the above news clip. Breezy was released on $250,000 bail, with his attorneyMark Geragos maintaining his innocence.

“It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated,” Geragos said following news that the LAPD had recovered neither the necklace in question nor any firearms upon searching Brown's house.

Breezy is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on Sept. 20 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center and has received support from industry peers such as Waka Flocka and 50 Cent. Brown himself has offered little in the way of a direct address, posting a video to Instagram in which he says he's going to turn the other cheek and release new music. Shortly after, he released "What Would You Do?"
