Awards season is in full swing, Sunday night's Critics' Choice Awards recognizing Donald Glover and his series Atlanta with Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Glover, musically known as Childish Gambino, stands to earn some more hardware however as just this morning the 2017 Golden Globe nominations were announced, Atlanta receiving nods in two categories; Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

Glover faces off against Anthony Anderson and Jeffrey Tambor in the latter of the two, though he beat each Sunday night. Nominated as well is Riz Ahmed, who goes by Riz MC when rapping alongside Heems as Swet Shop Boys. Ahmed broke out this year in the HBO series The Night Of and is nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Pharrell meanwhile is nominated for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for his work on Hidden Figures, which stars Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live coast-to-coast on NBC Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. PST and 8 to 11 p.m. EST from the Beverly Hilton Hotel with host Jimmy Fallon.
