A visibly upset Chelsea Handler led a highly emotional election-themed episode of her Netflix talk show, Chelsea, yesterday (Nov. 9).

"I think today's show's going to be a little different for us. Like a lot of people in this country, I'm sad, I'm disappointed and I'm confused. But if Hillary [Clinton] can make it through a concession speech, I can make it through a stupid television show, so I'm going to. And I'm taking her lead — she said we could do it, so I'm gonna do it for every woman out there."

To help discuss the election, Handler invited her friend Senator Barbara Boxer on the show to breakdown this week's events, including Donald Trump's victory and Clinton's concession speech.

"My heart's on the floor. And I think the first thing when something like this happens is admit that. And so, we have to look at that," Boxer explained. "And the next thing we have to do is what you just said."

"We need to move forward. And that's it. That's what life is about. That's what we are taught. It's not where you are when you're high and doing great. It's when you fall down. And what do we do? A lot of us are on the ground right now. But I have lived a little bit longer than you and the audience here, and I have learned how painful how politics can be. But that doesn't mean you run away. It means you pick yourself up, as the President said, and you fight even harder for our country. Because it's ours. It's ours," Boxer assured the audience.

The Senator shared her story about her history, and the political hardships she's faced over the years. They also discussed the popular vote, and potentially changing the Electoral College process in the United States. She then got choked up when asked if she talked to Hillary Clinton yet.

"I guess the message I want to spread out to other women is...not to give up — sorry, I hate f--king crying on camera," Chelsea started to say, breaking down into tears. "This is so important."
