Television spots are always something of a mixed big. On the one hand, you’re rarely going to see new content in television ads, and the new trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange is certainly no exception. On the other hand, though, just the fact that a television spot exists means that the release of the movie is just around the corner. To its credit, this new spot also really highlights the things we’re already excited to see: freaky inter-dimensional travel and Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One schooling Stephen Strange in the ways of magic.

Since this is a trailer released in partnership with Cinemark, it also encourages audiences to see the film on their premium screens. Unlike some of its other titles, Marvel has actually pushed pretty hard for audiences to see Doctor Strange in 3D. Kevin Fiege recently told Collider that the visual depth provided by 3D technology is “absolutely necessary” to the success of the movie, so if nothing else, it sounds like Marvel has put a lot of effort into making those special effects in the trailer really pop on the screen.

And even if the Doctor Strange television spot doesn’t have a bunch of cool new images and characters, it did finally answer one big question for me. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trying to figure out who exactly Benedict Cumberbatch’s American accent made him sound like, and it wasn’t until he speaks in this new trailer that I think I finally put my finger on it. It’s Kiefer Sutherland, right? Benedict Cumberbatch’s American accent makes him sound like Kiefer Sutherland. Whew. There. Now I don’t honestly care even if I even see the movie. Very glad to have that sorted.

Doctor Strange will materialize in theaters on November 4, 2016.
