The Boston Celtics now know where that Nets pick will be for the upcoming 2016 NBA Draft.  Boston was drawn at number three and will now decide whether to keep that selection or trade it in an effort to acquire more established NBA talent.

This is the third time the Celtics have had the third overall selection in the modern era, taking Kevin McHale in the 1980 draft and selecting Chauncey Billups in 1997.  Boston will likely have to choose from the remaining talent after presumptive one and two picks are gone in the form of forwards Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram.  Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray are likely candidates for the Cs should they keep the selection according to ESPN.  Al Horford, Deron Williams, and Carmelo Anthony are just three all-stars that were selected a pick three.

The 2016 NBA Draft will be held on June 23rd from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  In addition to the third selection, Boston will also pick at 16 and 23 in the first round and 31, 35, 45, 51, and 58 in the second.  Expect some trade talks here in the coming days from Danny Ainge and the Celtics front office.
