Police say the woman had just entered the Interstate from the eastbound lane of the Trans Canada Highway when her vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. RCMP, Woodstock Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the crash around 8:30 a.m.

Woodstock Fire Chief Ricky Nicholson said his department assisted paramedics at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the Upper River Valley Hospital with undetermined injuries.   Her passenger was not injured in the accident.  Nicholson said the vehicle was a total loss.

The driver of the transport truck was unhurt. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
