Police say a Caribou woman has been charged after a single vehicle accident late Wednesday night in St. Agatha.  According to Sgt. Chad Fuller of the Maine State Police, 31 year-old Maria McIntyre was southbound on Route 162 in a 1997 Volvo shortly before 11p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle, rolling it over on its roof.

McIntyre was not wearing her seat belt and sustained minor injuries and was not transported by an ambulance. State Police say McIntyre was charged with operating under the influence and operating after suspension.  The vehicle sustained significant damage.

Sgt. Fuller said the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and Presque Isle Police department are also involved in the investigation.
