Caribou Police Seeking Vehicle Involved in Accident

The Caribou Police Department has turned to the public for help in locating a vehicle involved in an accident on Wednesday evening.

Caribou Police say at approximately 7:35 p.m. a silver / gray vehicle left the roadway on Rt. 1 at the Rt. 161 intersection, between Rt. 89 and High Street and struck a MDOT light pole and sign, sheering both off.

The vehicle then continued southbound on the bypass.

Police say the vehicle should have extensive damage to the body and possibly to the undercarriage of the vehicle.
