The Caribou Police Department received a 911 call from a local business owner Monday morning saying 50-year-old Jeffrey Doucette from Caribou just walked into her business, pointed a gun at her, and threatened her and her family's lives.

Officer Douglas Bell and Officer Kegan McPherson were able to locate Doucette close to the business and he was arrested without incident. No weapon was found.

Jeffrey Doucette is being charged with Class A Robbery, Class C felonies: Criminal Threatening, Terrorizing and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. Doucette was not able to make bail and will be transported to the Aroostook County Jail. His initial court date is May 4th, 2017 in Caribou.

Police said Doucette has a long criminal history and has multiple drug convictions and assaults on his record.

The Caribou Police Department was assisted by the Maine State Police and their K-9 unit. The incident is being investigated by Officer Douglas Bell.
