Local Cancellations and Closings for Thursday, Feb. 9th

Here are the latest weather-related cancellations for Aroostook County and western New Brunswick for Thursday, February 9th.

All State Offices - Closed at Noon

All Bangor Savings Bank branches closed for the rest of the day

The Houlton boys’ basketball game at Calais has been postponed and will be played on Friday. The JV game at 5 pm and varsity at 6:30.

All after-school activities at Southside in Houlton have been cancelled.

Southern Aroostook/Katahdin Schools (RSU 50) have cancelled all after-school activities.

The Carleton North Stars boys’ hockey game scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to weather.

The Mark Patrick Hypnosis Seminars at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center this evening have been cancelled due to the weather. At this time, they have not been rescheduled.

The Penobscot Valley District round table for Boy Scouts scheduled for this evening has been canceled.

East Grand Health Center in Danforth is closing at noon.

The city of Presque Isle will removing snow in the downtown area beginning at 8:00 tonight. Vehicles parked along the road or in other restricted parking areas will be towed at the owner's expense.
