Can The Bears Get First Win Today?
The UMaine football team steps out of conference today to try and capture its first win of the fall. The Black Bears host Bryant University from the Northeast Conference.
First year head coach Joe Harasymiak and his Maine team are 0-3. After losing to FBS teams UConn and Toledo, the Bears home debut didn't end well a week ago against CAA foe Jame Madison University.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs of Bryant are 2-2 and bring a big passing attack led by QB Dalton Easton who is fifth in the nation with 1,138 yards.
Maine does hold the advantage over Bryant in the series, winning three of the four games. And, the Black Bears are 10-2 all-time against Northeast Conference teams.
Kickoff is 3pm at Alfond Stadium in Orono.
