Baseball coach Brad Goody welcomed 45 players to MacKenzie Gym, several returning starters from a year ago. Many of them also played on the hockey team that played in the North Region championship earlier in the month.

Goody thinks the Hermon Hawks will be in the battle again for Class B North. The Coyotes beat the Hawks in last year's regional game.

Old Town opens its season April 18th at Orono.

Coach Jen Pourde welcomed about 25 softball players to tryouts Tuesday afternoon. Her team lost a lot of experience to graduation.

Last year, the Coyotes won that memorable state game, stopping York High School's 18-game winning streak, beating them 6-3. Old Town finished 17-3.

The Coyotes open their season at Orono of April 18th.

NOTE:  You can hear baseball Coach Brad Goody and softball coach Jen Plourde talk about their teams and the season ahead during today's 'Morning Pitch Show' from 6a-8a on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
