Back on September 24th, week #3 of the UMaine football season, the Black Bears had James Madison University on the ropes. Maine led the Dukes 20-17 going to into the 4th quarter.

JMU scored two TDs in the fourth quarter and beat the Bears 31-20 that September day.

Today, the James Madison Dukes are NCAA FCS national champions. A 28-14 win over Youngstown State Saturday afternoon, giving the Dukes their second national title.

Khalid Abdullah, who rushed for 172 yards and two TDs vs Maine, rushed for 101 yards and two TDs in the championshp game.

Coach Mike Houston wins the title in his first year at JMU.
