Brad Marchand scored a breakaway goal in overtime and the Boston Bruins beat San Jose 2-1 Sunday night. That makes four straight wins for the B's since the coaching change to Bruce Cassidy.

Teams have not won many times coming off their bye week and the Bruins were coming off their five day layoff and playing the first of four west coaast games.

Ryan Spooner put the B's ahead with a first period goal and the Sharks tied it with a second period goal. Nobody could score again until the Marchand goal in overtime.

Tuukka Rask made 29 saves for Boston. Matt Jones had 26 for San Jose.

The B's are 30-23-6 and hanging on to a playoff spot.
