Maine Drug Enforcement says four people were arrested in Biddeford Thursday for selling crack cocaine.

Charged with Class “A” Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Crack Cocaine)were:

Shanna Pepin (37) of Biddeford, Kelvin Rodgers (35) of Biddeford, Ricardo Middleton (26) of Kennebunk, Roshawn Drane (32) of Dedham, Massachusetts.

For the past three months, agents assigned to MDEA’s York District Task Force have been investigating the sale of crack in greater Biddeford including several  undercover purchases of crack from Pepin and Rodgers. Those drug sales were made within 1000 feet of a designated drug free safe zone, aggravating the charges.

Thursday afternoon, MDEA agents along with Federal DEA, Biddeford Police, State Police and South Portland Police with a canine searched 1 Wentworth Street  in Biddeford. During the search of Pepin and Rodgers’ third floor apartment agents located 23 grams of crack and other evidence of drug trafficking. The estimated street value of the crack is $2500. The four were arrested in the apartment and were transported to the York County Jail without incident.

Bail for Pepin, Rodgers and Drane was set at $20,000 cash. Middleton was held without bail due to violating a previous bail condition.

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services were contacted and responded to the scene because a young child of Rodgers being present at the apartment at the time of the search.
