Three months ago, Beck released a new single called, simply, "Wow." Now, he's given us a video for the song, and it's believed it's from his next album.

Beck takes the "giddy-up" hook in the lyric literally, with a cowboys-and-horses-in-a-desolate-Western-town motif running through it. That said, there are also numerous children dancing, a man in a vest sitting in the middle of the street, some old-school computer animation and an rose with an eyeball peeping through it. In other words, par for the course with Beck, who does some hip-hop moves while standing on an island in an intersection. Stereogum says that Beck co-directed the clip with Grady Hall, and that the record is believed to be coming out on Oct. 21.

In July, Beck explained that his new work is intended to be a change of tone from the somber tones of 2014's Morning Phase, which won three Grammys, including Album of the Year. "It's a summer night, people have their hands up," he described. "It’s a communal, celebratory thing. I wanted to take that into the studio, a kind of energy or joy. The thing that wakes you up a little bit.”

On Thursday, Beck begins a brief tour at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. It will continue through Sept. 24 at the Pilgrimage Music Festival in Franklin, Tenn. You can see all the dates below and get complete information at Beck's website.
