BC Finishes Sweep Of UMaine

Boston College hockey finished a weekend sweep of the UMaine Black Bears, winning 3-2 at Alfond Arena  Saturday night. BC beat Maine 6-1 in Portland Friday night.

The loss Maine to 3-5-2 overall (0-2 HE). Boston College is 8-2-1 (4-0-1 HE).

Trailing 2-0 late in the 2nd period, Maine's Ryan Smith scored a powerplay goal to cut the deficit in half.

Each team scored a goal in the 3rd period.

BC outshot Maine 31-28.

Next for the Black Bears, a home-and-home series with UMass Lowell on Friday and Sunday.
