In its fourth year, the Katahdin Trust Internship Program is being offered in its northern market and is open to students who are currently enrolled in a college program and have completed at least one year of courses. Applicants must be an excellent team player, effective communicator, highly organized and hold a high level of computer skills.

“This a great opportunity for students to not only gain a sense of professionalism that supplements their work in the classroom but also for us to show our younger population that there are quality jobs right here in Aroostook County,” said Jon Prescott, President & CEO of Katahdin Trust. “As our workforce demographics change and our company grows, it is important for us to educate and mentor our youth.”

With this unparalleled internship experience, interns will see the big picture of how a bank operates and gain insight into Katahdin Trust’s mission of providing a broad range of financial services to Maine communities while also strengthening the core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career.

The Katahdin Trust Internship Experience:

  • The program will run from mid-May until the end of August.
  • You will have a specific department that you will report to, depending on your area of interest and our company’s needs.
  • This is a paid internship with an average of 40 hours per week.
  • You will have a mentor that will work directly with you to ensure that you get the most out of your internship experience.

Past interns have stated that this experience is what truly sets them apart from others who do not have that real life business experience and allows them to excel in their field immediately after graduation.

If you wish to apply for the 2017 Internship Program, please complete the application form and submit a resume to Human Resources, PO Box 36, Houlton, ME 04730 no later than February 24, 2017.  Please make sure that you list your area of interest on your application including accounting/finance, human resources, information technology and marketing.  Internship offers will be made by the end of April.
