It hasn’t been a good year for Azealia Banks. From getting banned on Twitter for her racially charged remarks, to getting slammed for endorsing Donald Trump, to being criticized for bleaching her skin, the rapper endured some tough times in 2016. However, some good news has arrived for the “212” rapper.

On Tuesday (Oct. 11), Banks went on her Facebook page to announced that she has inked a record deal with Wu-Tang Clan founder the RZA.

"Just smiling, chilling, summoning coinesha. I'm FINALLY getting a record deal. I'm signing with RZA," she writes. "He and I have an excellent work chemistry. Filming coco with him was loads of fun!! Now I get to make music with him!!! Business and Pleasure is imminent."

Banks didn't disclose the terms of the deal or how RZA will be directly involved. We can only assume that he will blessed the 25-year-old rapper with his signature beats.

However, the pair have been working together on an upcoming musical drama titled Coco, which is directed by RZA. Banks will play the title character who is a “twentysomething female rapper named Coco.” The film also stars fellow artists-turned-actors Jill Scott and Common.

On the music front, Banks recently posted a video of her working in the studio with Safaree Samuels while throwing a little shade at his ex-girlfriend, Nicki Minaj.

When fans lashed out saying that Azealia is simply working with Safaree to get under the Queen Barbz’s skin. Banks responded back, “Not at all. Some of my favorite NM songs were written by Safaree. I like his style and musicianship."

Congratulations to Azealia Banks on her new deal with RZA.
