Azealia Banks Says She’s Tired of Being Looked at as the Crazy Girl

Fresh off a much-talked-about fight with actor Russell Crowe, Azealia Banks sat down with a reporter from the UK's Evening Standard and talked about a number of topics in a cemetery of all places.

The interview took place just one day after the Broke With Expensive Taste creator accused the Hollywood star of assaulting her and calling her the N-word. For some reason, the reporter failed to ask her about the incident, but Banks did say she was tired of being looked at as someone's who's crazy.

As most probably know, the Harlem rapper has been involved in a number of spats with people like Action Bronson, Pharrell, One Direction's Zayn Malik and of course Iggy Azalea, her arch nemesis.

"It finally reconciled these two conflicting thoughts I had about being real and being professional," said Banks about her Twitter exchange with Malik. "I realized you're not keeping it real by being a crazy girl. You don't lose anything by keeping your mouth shut, so maybe it's time to stop being a crazy girl."

Elsewhere in the interview, the 25-year-old said she heard from her mother after the Malik spat and was chastised for hurling racial epithets at him.

"My mother has never reprimanded me, but she reprimanded me after the thing with Zayn happened," Banks explained. "She was like 'Azealia, you hurt a lot of people.' I was like 'F---.'"
