The car was engulfed in flames when a passersby saw it off Swetts Road in a brook. The body was burned beyond recognition, said Public Safety Officer, Steve McCausland. The car is a 2015 Toyota Corrolla and is registered to an Orrington woman, McCausland said.

DNA work is being done by the State Medical Examiner’s Office and an autopsy was done on Sunday. The State Police Crime lab in Augusta has the car. It is being examined by the Fire Marshal Investigators and State Police Detectives to see how the fire started, said McCausland.
