Say Goodbye To Productivity: Nintendo Just Put 30 Classic NES Game Instruction Manuals Online
The NES instruction manuals weren't just simple how-to-play diagrams. They were also tasked with telling the story of the game, describing the enemies, and even providing maps to players who could get lost wandering around Hyrule. And today, Nintendo has put 30 classic NES manuals online, including classic titles like the Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda, Mega Man 2, Castlevania, and more.
‘Regular Show’ To End After Eight Seasons, After Going To Outer Space
The good news is that this Regular Show is heading into outer space when it returns to Cartoon Network for its eighth season on September 26. In "One Space at a Time," the Park and its groundskeeping staff have been blasted off from Earth, and they're going to be staying there for the rest of the season. The bad news, though, is that this is all building to the end of Regular Show. Season Eight will culminate in the series finale.

The Devil In The Details: Why We Don’t Necessarily Need An Origin Story For A Character’s Pants
When I was writing a 1200-word attempt to define the proper length of Batman's ears earlier this week, I mentioned that comic book readers love details. It's true of every fandom, I suppose, whether it's memorizing sports statistics or listening for the differences between the demo and album versions of your favorite song, but with superhero comics, it tends to be a little different. These are, after all, stories that are meant to go on forever, where every story is meant to feel important to the ongoing narrative. Exploring and examining the details is one of the best ways to add significance, giving a deep and complicated history to every single element that makes up a character. Every now and then, though, I think we can all agree that it goes a little overboard.
I mean, it's been a few years since it happened, but I'm still not sure that we ever needed an origin story for Barry Allen's bowtie.
Sony Is Releasing The Original Soundtracks For ‘GI Joe,’ ‘Transformers,’ And ‘Jem And The Holograms’
I think the record will show that I'm a pretty big fan of Hasbro's cartoons from the '80s, and one of the things I love most about them is how great the soundtracks are. Not just the theme songs, but the incidental music that provides the background for Jem and the Holograms, or that smooth jazz version of the GI Joe theme that plays under the closing credits. Heck, even in the years before More Than Meets The Eye came along and made me stop hating the Transformers, I still had to admit that the music was pretty great.
The only problem is that I can't listen to it whenever I want, but now, it looks like that problem might be coming to an end. Composer Robert J. Walsh has confirmed that he's remastering the soundtracks for the Hasbro shows, with plans for Sony to release high-end versions that will include new footage and artwork, too.
Watch Batman Fight The Terminator In A Stop-Motion Short Film, Because It’s Friday And You Deserve Something Nice
For some reason, everyone seems to be buzzing this week about Batman fighting people in the movies - even more so than usual, I mean. If that's the kind of story that's sparked your interest today, then friend, you could do a lot worse than spending the next six minutes watching Batman vs. Terminator, a stop-motion fan-film in which the Dark Knight returns in a future dominated by Skynet and its killer robots.
Produced by YouTuber Captain McKay - who I think we can assume was bitten by a radioactive McKay at some point in the past - the project uses Mezco's Dark Knight Returns Batman figure and NECA's Terminator figure, and the results are pretty amazing. Give it a watch!
‘Wonder Woman 77′ Shows You How To Solve All Your Problems The Wonder Woman Way: With Elephants [Preview]
One thing that I think we can all appreciate about Wonder Woman is that she's a very creative problem solver. Just look at her signature moves: Anyone can have a plane, but an invisible plane is pretty unique, and while anyone can dodge bullets --- anyone in the superhero genre, I mean --- deflecting them with a pair of Amazonium bracelets isn't just flashier, it makes a statement. Her solutions always tend take things one step further.
In next week's Wonder Woman '77 Chapter 17, though, in which Christos N. Gage, Ruth Fletcher Gage, Dario Brizuela and Andres Ponce continue the adventures of the classic Lynda Carter television series, her solution doesn't just take things a step further, it goes for a full-on stampede. Check out a preview below!
